Knit-Alongs (KAL)

What is a KAL?

A KAL, standing for knit-along, is a time where hundreds of knitters are working the same pattern at the same time. It is a great way to work a pattern with the support of hundreds of knitters, and I’m there to guide you every step of the way!

Several times a year I run knit-alongs through my Ravelry group. Make sure to join the group to be able to get the most out of your KAL experience.

When you join one of my KALs you will get a full sweater class for just the price of a pattern. You will get hours of video tutorials that are exclusive to the KAL participants and never expire and you get a chance to win PRIZES!!

KAL FAQ

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • Every week or so a new pattern “clue” (meaning section of the pattern) will be released.
  • Each time a new pattern clue is released, it will come to you as an email that the pattern has been updated. The pattern will grow (so the part 2 release will have part 1 & 2, part 3 will have 1, 2, 3 etc.).
  • Please view the pattern ONLINE to view the videos. The PDFs have pattern links in red that will take you to private YouTube videos or Blog posts.

I’M A NEW KNITTER. CAN I MAKE A SWEATER?

  • A KAL is the perfect way to make your first sweater! I also have many online classes that can help:

  • If you need extra help, you can even book a private lesson live in NYC or online:

WHERE DO I ORDER MY YARN AND SUPPLIES?

You can get everything you need for the KAL from FiberWild. Each KAL will have its own landing page for ordering.

They are offering free shipping AND 15% off your KAL yarn!

HOW MUCH YARN SHOULD I ORDER?

To make sure you have enough for swatching and altering (adding length to body or sleeves) if you get 2 extra balls you should be more than fine.

REMEMBER: all unused yarn is returnable to FiberWild at a full refund!
