Tuesday Tip: Channel Island Cast On
This month I was honored to be featured in the Vogue Knitting as one of the “Makers.” I wanted to create something really special so I designed the cable cardigan of my dreams. Later this month I’ll write about how I designed the cables, but for now it’s time to look at a special cast on. Meet the
Channel Island Cast On
Give this a whirl to create a lovely hem and cuff to your sweater.
To get the pattern, and read all about, you can pick up a Vogue Knitting magazine at your local yarn store or book store.
I saw this when my Vogue Knitting arrived and I was completely blown away by how beautiful it is. This is going to be my next project. Thanks so much for sharing the cast on video. The hem is a subtle element that adds to the sophistication of the design.
What is the name of the pattern and in which of the Vogue issues can I find it, please? This absolutely gorgeous and might very well make me overcome my fear of complex aran patterns. I think I’ll just give this one a try. Holy cow, that’s a beauty!
Thanks! It’s in the Early Fall issue (I link to it in the blog). It’s in yarn stores and book stores now, but you can also buy it online – https://store.vogueknitting.com/p-4933-vogue-knitting-2018-early-fall.aspx
Wow!! Love the cardi. I am assuming this is not a KAL since it is on Vogue magazine?
It’s not a self published pattern, but you can get it through Vogue.
