It’s here! Our latest sweater knit-along features one of my existing patterns: Gramercy Park is an elegant, all over lace garment that is perfect for the spring.
With FOUR yarn choices, there will be a yarn for every price point and fiber preference.
This video sweater class will be full of great tips and tricks from a mini class on yarn substitution, to lace tricks and fixes and all your seaming videos. With sweater modifications, knitting how-to’s and hours of videos you will be able to make your perfect sweater. Change up the size, the length, the neck shaping, the sleeves–you name it!
This will be the first class hosted on my brand new education site! Learn more below.
You can purchase the pattern and video class using this button: (NOTE: you will be asked to sign up for a free account on Patty’s Education streaming platform.)
What do you need to know about the Gramercy Park KAL?
When you purchase the class, you’ll create your free account on Patty’s education site. From there, you’ll find all your tools, pattern pdf, video and text tutorials. All content can be both streamed (to save room on your device) AND downloaded (to view off line!). There are discussion threads for each part of the class so you can ask questions, and a community group to chat, share pictures and cheer each other on and enter for prize drawings!
Join the KAL anytime…the KAL info will stay live forever, and the video tutorials will never expire!
For even more fun, join a social group on Ravelry.
READ THIS FIRST: the NEW education platform
This will be our first KAL on the new site. I hope you enjoy it! I’m sure there will be tweaks and adjustments as we all get comfortable, but I’m excited to get started with you. NOTE:
You will need to create a free new account on Education.pattylyons.com even if you already have one on pattylyons.com. You can use your same log in and password if you like.
You will be able to access the education site under the LEARN menu on the home page of pattylyons.com.
There are discussion boards & a social group for each class.
Most videos will have closed captions, AND if you need subtitles in a different language, just email classes@pattylyons.com and request them!
You can post photos to the discussion boards with no fee, and even upload a video!
KAL stands for knit-along! It’s a great way to work through a garment with the support of the designer (me), but more importantly, hundreds of other knitters.
The heart of the KAL is our Patty’s education site. There we will all your lessons, discussions, sharing of pictures, and knitting tips.
The pattern will come out at once, but the videos and tutorials will come out on a schedule to help us all stay together and have fun!
How can I join?
Simply by purchasing the Gramercy Park Sweater Pattern and class.
You can join in ANYTIME! The class is yours forever, and the video tutorial links will never expire! But the newsletter group coupon will expire after the KAL, so grab it now and knit it later.
Where do we get our yarn AND support our hard working designer?
For this sweater, I’ve chosen FOUR yarns. There will be a fiber video in the introduction that will help you choose. There will be a perfect yarn for every price point, color, and fiber preference.
When you purchase your pattern, you will get your introduction that will include a video on choosing your yarn and size.
Please only use the above link for ordering! Get a 20% – 25% discount for purchases over $60. Be sure to add a couple of balls to your order so you have enough for swatching, or pattern modifications. It’s such a good deal, you might just want to get enough for both yarns!!
What skills will I learn?
The class is chocked FULL of techniques. There will be video tutorials on all specialty skills along with sweater basics. New skills learned:
Video Class Tutorials Include:
2 needle stretchy cast on

There will also be videos that cover all your sweater basics like gauge, blocking, cast on, seaming and more.
Where are the videos?
With every section of the class, new videos and tutorials will be added to your class.
All your videos, and tutorials will be in your class page on https://education.pattylyons.com/. The pattern PDFs will also have red inks that will take you to your tutorials. As long as you are logged into your class, you can watch the lessons in your course player, or if you are knitting with your pattern pdf on your internet connected device, just click on the link and it will go right to your lesson.

Hi. I think things like “skill level” are arbitrary labels that don’t mean much. ANY knitter can accomplish ANY project if they are willing to learn! If you love this sweater, the best way to jump in is with a full video class. It’s just knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, YO. Simple!
I would love to make this but all the yarn choices have wool, alpaca, or cashmere, all of which I’m allergic to. Are there any other yarn options for it?
What skill level is this project? I’m a low intermediate knitter. Thanks! It’s a beautiful sweater and I’d love to create it in a KAL!

Well, I’m IN!
you mentioned on IG to watch the vid on fibre choice if one hasn’t got the yarn yet, where is this video? Please forgive my ignorance.
The video is part of the class. Have you purchased the class yet?

I would use the Granville.
