Knit, Learn, Laugh, Repeat
We are returning to the most beautiful place on earth! I hope you can join me, and an amazing group of teachers, at Sebasco Harbor, Maine for AffiKNITy.
I wanted to create a special weekend where every knitter feels welcome. Whether you’ve been knitting for 2 months or 20 years, whether you’re traveling alone or with a group of friends, whether you like to be in class all day or have a ton of free time . . . this is the retreat for you.
Please join me for three days of knitting, laughing, learning, and spending time with like-minded people in one of the most beautiful places on earth — Truly HEAVEN!
I hope to see you there!
Patty

Welcome to AffiKNITy, the Knitting Retreat You Customize!
Let’s look at what’s new:
I’m so glad everyone had such a good time at the first retreat. There were three requests that I heard loud and clear, so I’m excited to tell you what’s new:
More free time to relax and hang out with other knitters:
This year we will have more free time built into your schedule AND a nightly knit night from 9:00 – 10:30 pm so you can hang out in the main room and knit with fellow attendees. Find out more in the schedule below.
A longer marketplace—more needles, notions, and gift items:
We will have SIX vendors located in the Clipper for our TWO-DAY marketplace!! That’s right, when you’re not in class you can pop by the market as many times as you like. Sometimes we need to see things more than once or get ideas for projects from other knitters, and this will allow you to shop without feeling rushed. Everyone will have free time on Saturday afternoon to enjoy! AND you’ll get to know the vendors in presentations during the weekend. Meet our vendors below.
A package for newer knitters (or knitters coming back to brush up their skills):
This year we are adding a third package, the Gauge Swatch: perfect for new knitters or knitters who just want to brush up their skills but have always dreamed of attending a knitting retreat. See the full descriptions below.
Meet the Teachers
I’m so thrilled to be joined by Cecelia Campochiaro, Bristol Ivy, Gudrun Johnston, and special guest Diane Ivey of Lady Dye Yarns.
Meet the Vendors
We have three amazing yarn vendors. Every attendee will get a retreat pattern in every yarn: Green Mountain Spinnery, Lady Dye Yarns, and Starcroft Yarns.
This year not only do we have an amazing bag vendor, Three Bags Full, the one and only Jennie the Potter, but we also have the wonderful local yarn store, One Lupine.
Your Package Options
Customize it all! You will be able to pick from THREE class packages and build your own schedule choosing the times and class style that fit your needs—first come first served, so register as soon as it opens to get your first choices. Choose a little or a lot—it’s up to you. Everyone will be together in the evenings for knitting, games, fashion shows, and fun.
Some knitters want three days of education: that’s the Full Hank. Some knitters want to take a class and have plenty of hang-out time: that’s the Mini Skein. AND then there are the new knitters or knitters who just want to brush up their skills but have always dreamed of attending a knitting retreat: for them—the Gauge Swatch.
You Choose It All — How Registration Works
1) Choose Class Package
Some knitters want three days of education, some knitters want to take a class and have plenty of hang-out time, and some knitters want to build their skills. That’s why we offer THREE different class packages.
- Full Hank
3 classes, one from each guest teacher (see the brochure for class details)
- Mini Skein
1 class from one guest teacher (see the brochure for class details)
- Gauge Swatch
4 skill building sessions with Patty. No need to pick anything, you’ll automatically be enrolled in all 4 one-hour sessions (see the brochure for class details)
All knitters will be together for meals, evening events, talks and mini sessions, marketplace and knit night.
2) Choose Class Style and Time (Full Hank & Mini Skein Only)
Everyone learns at their own pace, so we are offering three different class styles. In addition, you can choose when you take classes because each teacher will present their class four times.
In the detailed schedule, you’ll see that each instructor teaches one “Relaxed,” one “Mixed,” and two “Loaded” sessions.

- Relaxed:
This class will spend a bit more time on fundamentals as we take our time to explore the class content. Perfect for both the newer knitter or the knitter who wants a more relaxed class pace. - Mixed:
A little something for everyone! This class will be for mixed levels. It will dig a bit deeper than the relaxed group. Perfect for knitters of different skill levels who are traveling together, or for the newer knitter who doesn’t mind jumping right in. - Loaded:
This class will be chock-full of goodies. We’ll be taking a deep dive into the class topic, and we may even get into extra credit tricks. Perfect for the knitter who wants to gobble up all the ideas or the knitter who doesn’t mind observing new things (even if they are more advanced).
Schedule at a Glance
There are classes during the day, and crazy fun at night. Whether you pick the Full Hank or Mini Skein, you will still have lots of time to just relax, hang out, knit, and enjoy all that Maine has to offer.
