Another video KAL comes to an end. I am soooo honored that over 1100 people joined in on the fun of knitting this top. Some knit it now, while others will cast on later!
Through it all, the help and support of every knitter on the Ravelry group was always there. Nearly 6500 amazing knitters helped each other and cheered each other on through every step of the way.
Haven’t joined us yet? If you are feeling inspired to try it, Palm Canyon Video Sweater pattern comes with hours of video tutorials, all the gauge option and knitting how-tos for only will be $18.00!! It’s never too late to jump into any video class, as the videos (embedded in the pattern) never expire, and the message boards stay live forever.
Two 1/2 weeks ago, clue #1 for the Hudson Valley Cardi Video KAL hit the in box of 372 knitters. We’ve only just begun and there are new knitters joining us everyday! We are now over 490 knitters strong!
We have given out two fabulous participation prizes so far (we pick a new winner every week!), there are three giant grand prize packages in August (and yes, one of them will be for a WIP!)
Knitters who join us before Aug 26 will still get all the video tutorials, all the sweater modifications and knitting how tos for just $10! After the KAL is over the video class goes to it’s full price of $18
We are getting closer to casting on for the Labadee Cowl KAL. It’s our 7th KAL and already we have nearly 600 knitters signed up! I am floored and honored that over 2800 knitters have participated in the last 6 KALs.
If seeing the words, “Shaping Staying in Pattern” in a knitting pattern makes you want to:
b) throw up in your mouth a little
c) wad the pattern up on the floor and stamp on it right before you ceremoniously light it on fire
I’ve built a class just for you. It’s called “Shape Up!” and I’m coming to Yarnover in April!
Welcome to 2018!! We made it through the holidays, all of our gift projects are (hopefully) off our needles and in the hands of their recipients, and we’re settling in to what looks to be a rough winter ahead. Don’t you deserve a little reward? Why not spend a little time on some “me knitting?”
Sweaters are the filet mignon of knitting patterns. They’re staples that can add tons of versatility to your wardrobe, they come in so many shapes, textures, and styles that there’s always something new to learn, and they can be as challenging or mindless as you want! This winter, curl up by the fire with a glass of wine and a classic new sweater to be! Need some inspiration to get you going? Here are some of my favorite sweater patterns!
Right now nearly 300 knitters are swatching for the Tortola KAL, (jump in, we’re just getting started). There are THREE video tutorials just on gauge, as well as a how to document to teach you the math you need if your stitch gauge is off. There’s a lot of great info going on between knitters in my Ravelry group right now about gauge, so I thought I’d devote this month’s Tuesday Tip to the wonders of the . . .
It’s time for a new video sweater class!! I am so excited to start another KAL on my Ravelry group. There will be tons of teaching and fun, prizes and a great garment! Think of it like a sweater class for the price of a pattern! There will be HOURS of video tutorials to help you every step of the way.
It’s bitter cold here in New York, and it’s hard to believe a week and a half ago I was sailing the Caribbean with Melissa Leapman, Laura Nelkin and ship full of amazing knitters! It was also the sneak peek of my next Knit-along top, Tortola!
