Have you noticed all of the lovely trees in bloom? The pretty, yellow daffodils? The weather has warmed up and I’m excited! I usually start designing my spring projects right after the holiday season so I can be ready to launch a spring KAL and have fun with all of you.
I love how spring presents the opportunity to work with lighter yarns and knit drapey fabric. Thankfully, we’ve got a nice range of quality yarns to work with as the weather warms up. If you’re joining me for the Palm Canyon KAL, you’ll love both yarn options suggested for the pattern.
I can’t wait to get started on this project with you all, our community is so supportive. Especially during this time of social isolation, it’ll be great to come together online and enjoy our love for knitting.
Need holiday gift ideas for knitters who seems to already have everything? No worries, there are always more cute knitting accessories and tools out there. And as a knitter, I can never have enough yarn and tools! So, guess what? This list can also be a great gift inspiration to treat yourself!

Have you taught a child how to knit? Maybe you taught your own children/nieces/nephews, your friends’ children, at a school, a daycare, or maybe you volunteered at an after-school program. If you’ve had this experience, then I’m sure you’ve seen just how beneficial it can be to get yarn and knitting needles into those little hands. Montessori schools teach children how to knit from a young age, so they learn how to focus better; they learn patience and self-soothing techniques. It would be amazing if more schools could integrate this valuable skill to children.

One of the best parts about being a teacher is finding out what kinds of takeaways YOU the knitters take away from the experience. I love that these are lessons that you’ll take forward in the rest of your knitting lives.
